Abby and Becky

Dear Reader,

Ok, so I’m not in Fred’s league when it comes to video. Still I enjoy putting together videos like this. This is my second attempt. My First one was for ZendCon. This one is a bit more personal and most of you won’t find it interesting at all.

My daughter and her best friend have just completed their last year in marching band. I wanted to put something together that they could remember it by. It’s not much but when I watch it, I still get a little misty.

Until next time,
(l)(k)(bunny)

p.s. My apologies to Mr. Garth Brooks for using your song without permission. I know it’s not legal but then again, neither is speeding. We all choose which laws we consider moral. Current copyright law is not moral.

  1. That was really nice, Sir Cal. Excellent closer. By the way, I just saw on television (so you know it’s true) last night that the musically trained are far more receptive to remote viewings, esp and that kind of thing. So if the Daughter Unit starts channeling Nappolean or something, don’t be too surprised.

  2. I was just curious about what plug-in that you are using for your YouTube video embedding. Do you think you can send me an email with the name of the plugin?

  3. Way behind, I know, but if your daughter enjoyed marching band as much as I did, I know it’ll be sorely missed. Excellent video, though. Brings back a lot of memories for me, of my marching band days.

    Take care.

  4. Amit,

Sorry it took so long to get back with you. I uploaded the video to YouTube and YouTube gives you a piece of HTML code to embed in your page. I don’t have to do anything. I’m pretty sure they use Flash.

    Jeremy,

Good to hear from you again. Yes, she loved band but it’s done with and she is moving on.
