When preparing a talk, Practice!

Dear Reader,

Q: How do you get to Carnegie Hall?
A: Practice, practice, practice

One of the important parts of preparing for giving a talk is practicing. I recommend three complete run-throughs.After you’ve waited at least a day, pick it up the next day and start again. This time, however, try to run through your entire presentation without stopping.

  • Blocking run-though
  • Practice run-through
  • Dress rehearsal
